Her Background

Sherine has lived a life that’s had many personal challenges. This gives her unique empathy and insights in her work with clients. Married for many years, she has parented three children and has navigated through separation, divorce, and other big life changes.

She has raised an autistic son (now an adult), been bereaved, supported others experiencing serious mental illness, adjusted to living in several different countries, and learned to relate well with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Raised in a large family herself,  Sherine well understands the ways that difficult or complicated family issues can have an impact on family members, even years after events have happened.

Before training in counselling and life coaching, Sherine was in business. She managed an effective team of 18 staff and contractors. She ran a successful restaurant and café, training also as a chef.

While she has great skills for business, Sherine has always had a strong interest in what makes people tick and why they respond and behave as they do. Her move into counselling and coaching allowed her to build on this interest professionally. It also made good use of her natural ability to engage well with people of all ages, stages, and backgrounds.

Spending time with her family is a priority for Sherine, but she also enjoys getting into nature, walking, watching good movies, and reading. She has always especially loved reading.
